Continuing Medical Education-Continuing Professional Development
The EADV will apply for European accreditation through the EACCME (the European Accreditation Council for CME) based in Brussels. The EACCME is an institution of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS) for mutual recognition of accreditation of EU-wide and international CME-CPD activities for live educational events.
Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of CME credit that he/she has actually spent in the educational activity and once he/she has completed and returned the evaluation form for each attended session.
Your CME-CPD Certificate
When visiting the Congress, please ensure your badge is scanned once per scientific session!
CME-CPD certificates will be available directly from the EADV certificate download page after completing the online evaluation of the sessions attended, either on the website or via the EADV App.
For the download you will only need to enter your EADV log-in (if you are an EADV-member) or the details used during the registration process (if you are a non-EADV member). The remainder of the certificate is write-protected.
Each participant can only receive the number of credits he/she is entitled to according to his/her actual participation at the event (as recorded by the scanning process). Gain more credits by participating in sessions of different time slots, not parallel/overlapping sessions.
The credit breakdown for the Madrid Congress will be published once the event has been officially accredited.
NOTE: Credits are NOT granted by the EADV for participation in Subspecialty (or Sister Society) meetings on Wednesday and Industry sessions (Satellites and Meet-the-Experts).
Conversion of credits
Through an agreement between the Union Européenne des Médecins Spécialistes and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME® credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Information on the process to convert EACCME® credit to AMA credit can be found at www.ama-assn.org/go/internationalcme.
Live educational activities, occurring outside of Canada, recognised by the UEMS-EACCME® for ECMEC®s are deemed to be Accredited Group Learning Activities (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
Please refer to the national CME-CPD authority in your country of practice for the exchange of CME-CPD credits/points.
Personal Speaker Evaluation Data
Personal evaluation data, collected from the completed evaluation forms, will be automatically sent to the speakers. All data is treated confidentially and is generally available several months after the event. It is also envisaged to publish the top ten sessions in the EADV News.
